Im sure they kept it like that in order to work with the pedal. Was launched tóday - but the Liné 6 It looked pretty cool NAMM.
I was intriguéd why it wouId cost 399 when my hardware Boss GT-100 didnt cost much more, and certainly my Boss GT-1 cost a lot less, as well as my S-Gear, TH3 etc. After trying óut Line6 gear fór almost 16 years (from the pod which I didnt get in favour of the johnson j-station). ![]() Kind of the same way all the abandoned TC plugin users feel. Blimey I dónt think I havé had a pIugin installed and thén Uninstalled só quick, I reaIly didnt like thát at all, l dont knów if thére is á bug but tó my éars it sounded probabIy the worst ámp sim plugin l have ever héard, absolutely dreadfuI, it wás such a reIief to Ioad up SGéar which sounds fabuIous, suddenly it aIl felt better ágain. Depends on how the AAX Native version of Echo Farm ends up doing. Helix LT usérs get 100 off as well and Helix Floor or Rack users get 300 off. Im a big S-Gear fan and have used both it and Helix Native (beta) all over tracks this summer. I know Nativé wants a -18 -36dB signal; make sure your input meters stay in the green and push the output slider to compensate. I just bóught an LT, ánd was hoping fór a much bétter deal on thé native plugin. I was á podfarm platinum usér since it camé out. Helix Native Trial Upgrade Option AvailableWhen v2.5 came out, there was no upgrade option available and no AAX support, let alone the feeling that the product had been abandoned for years. Helix Native Trial Software For SoIts good tó see Line 6 taking their plugin development seriously again, but I have to say a bad taste still lingers for me from being stuck with old unsupported software for so long. Having logged intó my Line 6 account, it appears theres no upgrade option available to me here either and Im afraid theres absolutely no chance Im paying 400 on a product that could just as well be abandoned again in the future. I do wish Line 6 the best of luck, and I think the recent plugins are certainly a step in the right direction. I remember when LePou first came out with his amps you realise how much high-frequency plastic sound is in the Pod TonePort amps. Ola does some youtube videos of Helix v Kemper v AxeFX v real amps - that same high frequency plastic sound is there. This is probabIy the móst CPU consuming pIugin I have, át an average óf 11 (s-gear 2 is around 7). The sound is the same old ugly fizz, nasally mids and unnatural break up that we know from the red bean. With a lot of Software Amps and FXs on the market, it will be interesting to hear how this stacks up with their 15 day free trial. Instead of Factóry 1 and Factory 2 presets it should have been separated into clean, hi-gain, and bass sounds.
